PEPPS’ first annual music showcase a night to remember
The showcase welcomed PEPPS junior and senior choir, Piet Hugo junior and senior choir, Mitchell House senior choir, Gr 4 and 5 ensemble, Northern Academy Accapella group and solo performances.
POLOKWANE – PEPPS Polokwane hosted the first annual Polokwane schools musical showcase on November 3 at Tladi Hall.
Parents, guardians, teachers and learners crowded the room to the brim to listen to school choirs sing their hearts out on stage.

The idea for a school musical showcase, according to the organiser, Katlego Mpepele, came from the idea that rather than competing against other schools, why not create a way for people to connect and enjoy music together.
“This is another platform we set to celebrate the musical culture, not in a competitive way but in a way where we see the hard work that these learners put in when they practise two or three times a week, and I hope everyone that was in attendance ended the year on a cheerful way.”
He added that the showcase would be held at a different school next year where they will also raise money for that specific school, allowing them to improve and grow.
The showcase welcomed PEPPS junior and senior choir, Piet Hugo junior and senior choir, Mitchell House senior choir, Gr 4 and 5 ensemble, Northern Academy Accapella group and solo performances.
Everyone was welcome to bring their own food and drinks, as the event was centered around experiencing music in a more relaxed environment.
The choirs left the audience impressed and excited about next year’s musical showcase.
