Angels Play Preschool celebrates 20 years with annual concert
Angels Play Preschool marked its 20th birthday with an annual concert themed "To God be the Glory", featuring performances by all classes.
POLOKWANE – In celebration of their 20th birthday, Angels Play Preschool hosted their annual concert on Saturday at Northern Academy (primary school) under the theme: “To God be the Glory”.
The learners were dressed in creative costumes and attire, colour-coordinating with their class teachers.
A heartfelt welcome
As family and friends gathered in the school hall, they were all welcomed to the concert over an intercom. In a heartfelt message, principal Almari Greeff expressed her sincere thanks to the parents, and also pride and gratitude as the school marked 20 years of nurturing children.
“As we celebrate Angels Play Preschool’s 20th Birthday, my heart is filled with pride and gratitude. Please enjoy the concert.”

- Gr R and RR opened with prayer and a 20th birthday poem
- Lovebirds – ‘God made me special’
- Yellow Birds – ‘God’s creation’
- Blue Birds – ‘Thank you, Lord’
- Red Birds – ‘Shine for Jesus’
- Green Birds – ‘God’s beautiful world’
- Octopus – ‘The hands that pray’
- Jellyfish – ‘Faithful friends’
- Sea Turtles – ‘Sing to the Lord’
- Starfish – ‘Praise parade’
- Gr RRR – ‘Jesus is knocking’
- Seahorses – ‘We are God’s little lights’
- Jolly Bees – ‘God’s love never ends’
- Dolphins – ‘God’s promises never fail’
- Busy Bees – ‘God’s angels will protect us’
- Honeybees – ‘Twenty years of God’s glory’
- Bumblebees – ‘With God all things are possible’
- Gr R and RR closed the day with ‘Our Father, Greeting’
Gratitude to parents and teachers
Greeff further thanked parents for their trust, support and love shown to Angels Play over so many years, saying their partnership has allowed the school to grow, flourish and become a place where children feel safe, loved and celebrated.
“To the teachers and staff, thank you for your dedication, commitment and passion as the foundation of Angels Play,” she said.
She added that every smile, every lesson, every moment of patience and care reflects the heart of the preschool.
“Without our exceptional team, Angels Play would not be possible. You are the reason our children thrive and I am deeply grateful for each one of you. And above all, I give thanks to God our Heavenly Father, for His guidance, strength and unwavering presence throughout this journey. His hand has carried us, guided us and provided the trust and courage needed to build Angels Play into what it is today. To God be the Glory! Thank you for celebrating this milestone with us,” Greeff said.
