The first of a local business’ monthly golf competitions was contested at the Polokwane Golf Club with 73 players competing.
Henry Thomas took first place in the men’s A-division followed by Thabo Shingange in second. Thomas also took home the prize for nearest to the pin on the eighth hole while Thomas Mnguni followed in Thomas’s footsteps on the fourth hole.
Freek Schutte gave his rivals a hard time in the B-division claiming first place. Izak Jacobs took second place.
The C-division was won by Weyden Peceur, seven points ahead of the runner-up Theuns van Tonder.
In the A-division for women Cherie Siebert and Belinda Schutte took the first and second position on the podium respectively while Cynthia Viljoen claimed first place in the B-division followed by Nola Peceur.
