Comrades Roadshow tonight at athletics club

The Comrades Marathon Association hosts the Limpopo leg of the annual Comrades Roadshow at Polokwane Athletic Club (PAC) as part of the countywide tour tonight (Thursday).
The event will be hosted at PAC at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium at 17:30. “We will start with the weekly time trial of 4 km, 5 km and 8 km after which the roadshow will commence at 18:55,” club Chairperson Corrie Calitz said. The show offers an educational, motivational and inspirational talk with advice that will not only take athletes to the start but see them through the finish line. These roadshows will hopefully give athletes the mental, psychological and physical tools to finish the race and achieve their goals
Entry to the event is free and all athletes are welcome. Speakers such as Ian Laxton and Lindsey Parry will talk on Comrades running experiences, training programs and other important topics such as training, injury prevention and treating and nutrition.
A cash bar and refreshments will be available. The evening will close with two R250 lucky draw prizes sponsored by the PAC.
