Polokwane City Football Club shift focus to Platinum Stars

Following their 2-1 victory against Jomo Cosmos at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium last Saturday, Polokwane City Football will be hoping for another triumph when they duel against Platinum Stars at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday.
City is currently in 12th position of the Premier Soccer League and a win against Stars could see them moving up to eight position of the league.
In their last two matches Stars beat the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and University of Pretoria and are comfortably in the fifth position of the league with 26 points.
“It is not going to be an easy match against Stars. They are on resurgence and they have been winning matches lately. We are up for the challenge, we also need maximum points in order to better our position in the league,” Polokwane City Football Club, Spokesperson Tumelo Makgoara said.
He also thanked the fans for coming in numbers and rally behind for during their match against Jomo Cosmos.
“Their support is always appreciated. The team always does well whenever they are there in numbers and we are looking forward to see them at Royal Bafokeng Stadium,” Makgoara said.
Essau Kanyenda and Sipho Jembula scored the winning for Polokwane City Football Club while Brice Aka scored the consolation goal for Cosmos.
