Polokwane City Football Club signs Manaka and Mavundla

Polokwane City Football Club have strengthened their squad with the acquisition of former Black Leopards midfielder Edgar Manaka and former Maritzburg United’s midfielder Themba Mavundla.
The duo was introduced to their teammates on Friday and started training with the team on Monday, ahead of their match against Platinum Stars at Royal Bafokeng Palace on Sunday.
Club Chairperson Johnny Mogaladi welcomed the pair and wished them well in the club. “I have been following both their careers, seeing them grow and mature and I think they have done remarkably well for themselves. They chose us and we will do whatever it takes to make them feel at home” he said.
Asked about the extent of their contracts Mogaladi said he has never been one to comment on confidential and internal matters. “Let’s show these boys love, welcome them home and work towards a formidable and successful team” Mogaladi said.
The club has bid farewell to Senegalise striker Batiste Faye and two goalkeepers, Dino Visser and Kgothatso Mashia.
