Magesi Football Club will be hoping to record their second victory of the 2016/17 National First Division (NFD) against Real Kings Football Club whom they play at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban on Saturday. Their last four matches saw the Moletjie based outfit beat FC Cape Town, lose against log leaders Thanda Royal Zulu, Stellenbosch Football Club and draw against Mbombela United. Their dismal show puts them in a precarious 14th position on the log with a meagre two points.
Team Manager, Hero Makgamatha is however adamant they will beat Real King. “We are aware of our position in the division and it is not good at all. We need to start collecting points and the journey begins with Real Kings. We played them in the ABC Motsepe League last season and know what they are capable of. We are certain that we will come out on top with three points,” Makgamatha said.
He further said Coach Jacky Ledwaba will be on the bench on Saturday despite talk that he was demoted to the development team. “We are aware of rumours but we can confirm that Jacky Ledwaba is still the Coach of the first team and will lead the team on Saturday,” Makgamatha said.
