Polokwane Oval will host their final race of the year at Bosveld Motorsport Club in Mokopane on Saturday. The race promises to be the highlight of the year as Polokwane Oval’s final club championships will be combined with a memorial race in honour of 19-year-old oval racer Louis Ruytenberg who passed away after an accident just outside Mokopane last Sunday.
Co-organiser and Polokwane Oval Secretary Janine van Breda said it was a privilege to know Ruytenberg and that it would be an honour to be part of the memorial race.
“Racers in all classes will participate and drivers from across the country have already indicated their support of the combined race. We also hope to see spectators support the event and celebrate Ruytenberg’s life with us,” she said.
Entry fee for the race is R50 per adult and R20 for children. Children under 12 years can enter free of charge. Food and drinks will be for sale at the event.
For more information contact Van Breda on 082 904 5882.
