Professional and amateur athletes can look forward to a fun night when the annual Mazda Polokwane Nite Race will be hosted in conjunction with Polokwane Athletic Club (PAC) on the B and C rugby fields between the old and new Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow (Friday) evening.
The night race has always been a fun event for young and old and with summer temperatures rising the afternoon cool creates the perfect condition for athletes to deliver good performances.
Entries can be made at the venue from 16:30 until 18:20, before the start of the race at 18:30.
Athletes can enter for the 10 km road race or 5 km fun run. Entry fees are R50 for the 10 km and R30 for the 5 km. Temporary licenses are also available at R30.
Medals will be given to all finishers and category winners in the 10 km will earn cash.
With PAC behind the organising of the event it promises to be a successful race. Marshalls and traffic officials will also be deployed to ensure runners’ safety.
For more information contact PAC Chairperson, Corrie Calitz on 082 464 1963.
