Tlolane inspired by the Man of the Match Award

Polokwane City Football Club striker Puleng Tlolane believes being named Man of the Match after their Premier Soccer League (PSL) encounter against Orlando Pirates Football Club is a sign of greater things to come.
Polokwane City drew 1-1 against the mighty Buccaneers at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday. Tlolane, a former Bay United player was a menace to Pirates’ defence throughout the match and also scored a goal outside the eighteen yard are in the second half of the match.
In the 2014/16 PSL season he scored 11 goals and has promised to surpass that number this season. “I want to do well this season and the award spurs me on. It also put me under good pressure because it tells me that I must put up a good performance in every match and that is what I want to do. Last season I missed most of the matches because of injuries and I am hoping for an injury free season,” Tlolane said.
He also said that with his current form he hopes to get the attention of Bafana Bafana Head Coach Shakes Mashaba. “I was part of the national team setup in 2014 but everything changed after my injury. I want go back there and represent my country and I think I still have what it takes,” Tlolane claimed.
Asked about his target for this season he said he did not set any target for himself, all he wants is to score as many goals as he can and help his team to finish the league in a dignified position.
