Chief Executive Officer of Baroka Football Club, Morgan Mammila resigned from his position with immediate effect on Monday.
Mammila who joined Baroka while they were still campaigning in the National First Division (NFD) four years ago has accepted a similar position at a Premier Soccer League (PSL) club.
During his time at the club Mmamila oversaw the Ga-Mphahlele based side’s promotion to the PSL as well as their victory in the 2018 Telkom Knockout Cup.
Chairman of the club, Khurishi Mphahlele described Mammilla as a great leader. “It’s been a great journey to work with him. We wish him all the best in future. We are not going to replace him. It is not each and every team that has a CEO in the PSL. It was only us and Chippa United. We will work without a CEO.”
In his brief statement Mammilla thanked Baroka Chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele and his family for trusting him to look after his multimillion franchise, Baroka Football Club. “I have learnt a lot from him. He is a brother. Baroka Football Club will remain my home and in my heart for life.”
