With only one match to go before the exciting Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC) comes to an end, head coach of Polokwane City Football Club reserve team, Bayano Moloto believes his charges have everything needed to win the title.
City is currently on the second position of the log with 28 points after 14 matches and they need to win their final match against Cape Town City Football Club scheduled for Makhulong Stadium on Saturday in order to win their first MDC tittle.
A former Ria Stars defender and Millennium College head coach, Moloto emphasised that players are ready for the final match of the league.
“This is a grudge match as they beat us 0-7 in the first round so, so it is payback time. There is a lot at stake including an opportunity for the winning team to go to England where they will play friendly matches against some of the top teams in the English Premier Soccer League. The trip on its own is a motivation for any soccer player. It will be a first experience for some and the boys are motivated by that. There will be scouts from various countries at those matches and players would want make good use of that opportunity, Moloto said.
He further alluded that will rely in on their on the experience of their leading goal scorer and long serving member of the team Puleng Tlolane on the day. “We also have the likes of Tshepo Mosiahlaga,, Monde Mphambaniso, Paseka Mabunda and Thato Mmotong who have been instrumental during the season. I believe that, together with Tlolane who is also a leading goal scorer in the league with seven goals, they will catapult the team to greater heights.”
