Rugby fanatics in the city were treated to some great action on the pitch when PanSolutions Noordelikes took on Brakpan Rugby Club during a friendly match at Noordelikes’ rugby fields on Saturday.
Both teams showed strong commitment and while they all had their share of tries the match ended 39-38 in favour of the visitors.
Head coach Fred Romijn indicated that his players did well compared to other recent friendly games and that the team was slowly but surely getting into shape.
He further emphasised that they would use the training sessions to rectify mistakes, adding that they are going to face Boksburg Rugby Club in Brakpan on Saturday.
The friendly games are to prepare the teams ahead of the Boet Fick league expected to commence in May.
