Golfers show their prowess on golf course

In excess of 275 entries from golfers across the province were received for the Baobab Classic golf tounament held at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday
The tournament was played in an individual stableford format and Francois Goosen won the popular contest with 42 points.
James Strydom took second position with 40 points while Jacques Scheepers settled for third with 39 points.
The overall winning team of Belinda Schutte, Fredre van der Merwe, Andries du Plessis and Walter du Plessis amassed 120,1 points.
Daan Kampherbeek, Nico Myburgh, Carel Swart and Casper Gilfillan came a close second on 119,1 points.
On Friday, Christo Stears and Japie Botha won the betterball format of the tournament having collected 49 points.
Second were Walter du Plessis and Fredre van der Merwe with 48 points while Glen Wynne and Jannie Bronkhorst came third with 46 points.
