Golfers in the province engaged in an intense competition on the greens during a club golf challenge played in an individual stablefort format at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.
The tournament attracted local regular golfers such as Nola and Weyden Peceur, Charles Mdhluli and Charles Mara who took to the fairway with hopes to emerge as winners. Edwin Mackays made the opponents eat dust as he finished first with 39 points on a count in, followed by Raymond Mushaike on the second spot with 39 points on a count out. The third place was taken by Aaron Segwapa on 38 points.
None of the golfers managed to win the jackpot lucky draw that was paying 1 144 units. The draw was made by Hein Viljoen at holes three, 12, 13 and 17.
