Last cluster road race build-up on 30 March

The last of the five build-up races for Polokwane Municipality’s Mayoral Road Race scheduled for 1 May have already taken place, leaving only the last cluster event to be hosted in Sebayeng/Dikgale on 30 March. The first races were hosted in the Mankweng, Moletjie, Seshego, Molepo/Maja/Chuene and Aganang clusters. The venue for the last cluster event is the Bana Bathari Special School.
The Sebayeng/Dikgale race will start at 07:00 and distances of 5 and 10 km will be run. Entry is free and registrations are done between 06:00 and 07:00 on the days of the race.
According to Communications and Marketing Manager of the municipality, the aim of the races is to build community spirit and to promote participation in sport, a healthy lifestyle and smart living. The final marathon on 1 May will be hosted in the City cluster and will cover distances of 5, 10, 21,1 and 42,2 km and will start at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium at 06:00, with prior registration at the venue from 05:00.
