Golfers engage in clash of clubs

It was a clash of clubs at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday when local golfing enthusiasts gathered on the greens hoping to claim the great prizes that were at stake or even winning the jackpot lucky draw.
The challenge was played in individual stableford format with Thomas Mnguni declared the winner after finishing with 39 points on a count in. He was followed by Mpho Makhado, also with 39 points but on a count out, while Thys de Kock settled for third place with 37 points.
The jackpot luck draw was made by Hein Viljoen at holes five, 11, 14 and 17 but none of the golfers managed to get their hands on the 350 units that were payable on the day.
