Which South African players are in The Hundred Draft?
Do you know about the Hundred Draft? You may see the greatest names in cricket set to go under the hammer in the second edition of the tournament.

The Hundred Draft will take place with some of the greatest names in cricket set to go under the hammer in the second edition of the tournament.
While the world continues to get back to normal following the events of the last two years, South Africa’s best players are looking to light up the cricketing scene in England as they descend on the UK, looking to get picked up in The Hundred Draft.
The Hundred, which is the newest competition created by the ECB, is a format in which both teams get 100 balls to bat and bowl. An ‘over’ consists of either five or 10 balls, and with this being the shortest format in the game, there is very little time for pleasantries, with batsmen going at bowlers from the off, making every game exceptionally exciting.
With The Hundred set to be part of a month-long sporting bonanza in the UK also featuring the return of the Premier League and classic horse racing, there are a number of top-quality South African players that will go under the hammer, and they include:
£125 000 Reserve Price
Tabraiz Shamsi
£100 000 Reserve Price
Quinton de Kock
£75 000 Reserve Price
David Miller
Imran Tahir
£60 000 Reserve Price
Aiden Markram
Andile Phehlukwayo
£50 000 Reserve Price
Rilee Rossouw
Simon Harmer
Dane Vilas
There are some very talented players that could be chosen to play in England and Wales this summer, with South Africa currently boasting a crop of very exciting players.
One star that we feel will not go begging is Quinton de Kock. De Kock is one of those players that always seems able to nail playing in the way the game dictates. Whether it is a slower inning where he needs to grind out runs, consistently rotating the strike to keep the bowlers on the back foot or explosive innings with constant boundaries, De Kock seems to always get it right. Throwing in the fact that he is one of the most talented wicketkeepers on the planet means the dual threat he provides on the pitch is something that will not go unnoticed.
At the very top of the list is Tabraiz Shamsi, who has a reserve price of £125 000. The spinner will provide a real threat with the ball in hand this summer, but some may question why he is at the very top of the reserve price list.
Indeed, perhaps the more astute buy as far as a South African spinner goes is that of Imran Tahir, who has a reserve price of £75 000. The spinning maverick has proved to be a very popular figure on the pitch, with his ability to turn the ball – one thing, together with his audacious celebration which usually sees him running the length of the field, is something the fans love to see.
How the South African contingent fare this summer will be very interesting, with some very talented players set to go under the hammer. Will the likes of De Kock and Tahir get picked by any of the sides and, if so, will they excel across the late English summer?
