MOKOPANE – The team tested the waters last Sunday at the Inter-Provincial Hockey Festival at Queens High School in Johannesburg and achieved great results. They played six games in which they won four matches and drew two which gave them a net of 14 points out of the possible 18 points. They won 5 – 0 against Mpumalanga B, 2 – 0 against North Gauteng A, 2 – 1 against South Gauteng B and 1 – 0 against Mpumalanga A. They drew 1 – 1 against North Gauteng B and 1 – 1 against South Gauteng A.
“This year we have a solid team that needs to stay focused and treat all of their games with equal value. We know the first matches are the most crucial since they build the teams confidence. We can’t wait for Potchefstroom,” said their coaches Kubiku Kubs Kozanai from Sunrise Primary School in Mokopane and Liezel Grobler from Laerskool Warmbad in Bela-Bela.
