Golfers showed mettle during the recent Mike's Chicken Monthly Medal at the Polokwane Golf Club.
POLOKWANE – Golfers showed mettle during the recent Mike’s Chicken Monthly Medal at the Polokwane Golf Club.
The challenge, which was categorised into five different groups, saw Niko Koster claim first place in the A-division on 71 points. He was followed by Adam Milanzi in second place with 73 points on a count-in.
Joe Legora scooped first place in the B-division with 71 points. He was followed by Richard Schulenburg in second place with 72 points.
Kobie Smit proved to be on top of his game in the C-division as he claimed first place with 75 points, while Carel de Jager came in second place with 77 points.
In the women’s category, Luanie van Rooyen finished in first place in the women’s silver category with 70 points. Lynette Smith led the women’s bronze category with 72 points.
Kobus Marnewick made the jackpot draw at holes three, four, 10 and 17, but there was no winner.
Muhammed Essa was awarded for playing nearest to the pin at hole 11, while Corné Spruyt was rewarded for playing nearest to the pin at the eighth hole.
Golfers should bear in mind that it is compulsory to attend the prize-giving ceremony after every tournament. Anyone who does not attend the ceremony will lose out on the prize.
