“His resignation was unfortunate and we could not stop him.”
“We still love him and we respect his dicision.”
“The assistant coach, Joel Masutha will be in charge until the board makes a decision on the new coach.
We are now in the pre-season programme and we played well against the Botswana team, where we walloped them 7-0 in Polokwane.
“Zeca left a solid foundation, we have a strong team and the pre-season programme still continue.
The mandate of the new coach will be to take the team to the Premier Soccer League without participating in the play-offs, he said.
“We shall announce the new signees later, not now,” said Ramunenyiwa.
Marques confirmed that he parted ways with Leopards amicably.
“I’m sorry to leave the team,” he said.
Marques has been linked with Santos and had an assistant role at SuperSport United.
In May, Lidoda Duvha participated in the promotional play-offs, where they collected seven points together with Cosmos, but were devastated when Ezinkosi proceeded to the Premier Soccer League due to goal difference.
