Eagar Aquatics swimmers perform at Waterborn Invitational gala
Eagar Aquatics Professional Swimming Academy did exceptionally well at the Waterborn Invitational gala, which was held at Ellis Park on 10 and 11 October.
POLOKWANE – Eagar Aquatics Professional Swimming Academy did exceptionally well at the Waterborn Invitational gala, which was held at Ellis Park on 10 and 11 October.
Six Eagar Aquatics swimmers, Antoinette Fuchs, Ashleigh Hunter, Sule van der Merwe, Ethan Anderson, Ude Fuchs and Ayden Jordaan, participated in the event.
Swimmers who won medals during the event:
• Sule won gold for the 200 m butterfly in a time of 2:24:06, silver for the 100 m butterfly in a time of 1:06:17 and bronze for the 200 m backstroke in a time of 2:26:65.
• Ude won gold for the 50 m breaststroke in a time of 0:29:45, silver for the 200 m butterfly in a time of 2:00:49 and bronze for the 100 m butterfly in a time of 0:56:06.
• Ethan won bronze for the 200 m freestyle in a time of 2:16:01.
“All these swimmers swam exceptionally well and all achieved Swimming South Africa’s qualifying times for the South African National Age Group Championships to be held in East London in March next year,” said proud coach, Douggie Eagar.
