Impalas award stars
Limpopo Impala Cricket (LIC) held their annual awards ceremony at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday night, to close the 2015/2016 season by honouring players for their hard work and dedication.

POLOKWANE – Amateur manager, Feizal Kimmie, thanked all the players for putting all their effort into making the season one of the most successful ones yet, and encouraged them to keep the same spirit for the next season. He also mentioned that LIC plans to implement new strategies for next season to bring out the best in the players as well as include blind cricket to Limpopo.
The night saw some big winners:
Hornbills Cricket Club taking a double scoop by winning both the Premier League as well as the Pro20 Competition.
Richelle Lambert was named Lillies Batsman of the Year and Impalas Batsman of the Year was awarded to Petri de Kock. Bowler of the Year went to Ruan Willemse and Leone Potgieter received the award for Scorer of the Year.
The evening ended off on a special note when Most Improved Player of the Year, Hector Ngobeni was told that he would be going to Mumbai, India for a week long batting camp. Hector was also chosen to play for the SA Colts team after his performance at the Cricket South Africa Rural Week earlier in the year.
