Kruinies golf day a success

Golfers came out in numbers for the most prestigious Curro Heuwelkruin Golf Day held at the Polokwane Golf Club last Thursday. See the results here.

POLOKWANE – The challenge was won by Duane Viljoen, Andrew Galloway, Thys de Kock and Francois Steyn after accumulating 95 points.

They were followed by Craig Rosendorff, Brian Smit, Russel Gutsche and James Gutsche with 94 points.

The main purpose of the golf day was to raise funds for the school. The format of the golf day was a four ball alliance scramble drive.

Las du Plessis was awarded for playing nearest to the pin at hole four, while Andries van Niekerk scooped the prize for playing nearest to the pin at hole 18.

Dawid van der Walt claimed the prize for playing nearest to the pin at hole 11, with Ras Klopper played nearest to the pin at hole 16.

Riaan Nel took the honours after playing the longest drive at hole six, while Duane Viljoen showed his driving talent and played the longest drive at hole 17.
