Eagar Aquatics rakes in the medals

POLOKWANE – The swimming team from Eagar Aquatics Swimming Academy showed what they were made of when they excelled during the Sasolburg Winter Championship recently.

During the Sasolburg Winter Championship the swimmers competed against some of South Africa’s top swimmers and swimming clubs. However, these talented swimmers did not let the competition intimidate them and they managed to claim five gold medals, 16 silver medals and 19 bronze medals during the competition.

Eagar Aquatics won the overall fourth position during the competition and won the prize for the Best Small Club (less than 20 members). One of the club’s top swimmers, Sulè van der Merwe, was announced as the Victrix Lodorum for the event.
