Running like the wind

Local marathon runner, Emmanuel Ramohlale competed in the prestigious 21 km Half Marathon South African Championship recently.

POLOKWANE – He qualified for the championship in January, where he was one of four athletes from Limpopo who made the cut. Emmanuel managed to finish the marathon in a time of one hour and 13 minutes.

“I have been training for this race since February, and I would like to thank my family, friends and teammates who supported me throughout my journey. I enjoyed the run,” says Emmanuel.

He shared advice for young athletes. “You should always remember that marathon running is a very difficult, it is crucial that you work hard and stay focused,” he explains.

Emmanuel’s next challenge is the 10 km Tzaneen Spring Opener on 27 August.
