Draw for Polokwane City & Baroka FC
Baroka has to win as many games as possible to escape relegation.
POLOKWANE – Bakgaga ba Mphahlele are still in the hot seat as they failed to accumulate three points during the Polokwane derby match against Polokwane City that was played on Sunday, at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.
The two Limpopo soccer teams shared the spoils and walked home with one point each after the rivals played to a goalless draw.
Rise and Shine stretched their winless run in the Absa Premiership to six games and they are now in seventh place with 26 points.
Baroka is feeling the pressure as they are last on the log and need as many points as possible to avoid being relegated to the National First Division (NFD).

The game between the two rivals started at a fairly fast pace with both teams going at each other with the hope of getting an early goal. But all their efforts were fruitless until 90 minutes of play.
The newly-signed Polokwane City wing, Tlou Gautrain Segolela, proved that he still had the power and speed and kept Baroka’s defence on their toes. City’s right wing, Sipho Jembula, almost broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, but his right foot directed the ball wide.
The two teams had their share of ball possession but Rise and Shine dominated most of the first half, but lady luck did not seem to be on their side as the team failed to register a goal.

Baroka supporters were unhappy when their technical team replaced former Highlands Park player, José Garcia, and introduced Richard Matloga to the game. Garcia delivered a number of dangerous crosses but Baroka strikers could not utilise even one.
Baroka seemed lost in the second half and they should consider themselves lucky for not conceding a goal.
The rivals were both eager for a winning goal but the goal stoppers ensured that both sides shared the spoils.
