Cycle in Mayoral Race – have fun and keep fit

The Polokwane Municipality will host a revamped Polokwane Annual Mayoral Cycle Race on Sunday, 28 May at the Peter Mokaba Stadium starting at 07:00.

POLOKWANE – The event is set to encourage the community to get active and embrace healthy lifestyles and general wellness. As explained by Polokwane Mayor, and the pioneer of the event, Thembi Nkadimeng, cycling is one of the easiest low-impact and most fun ways of exercising.

It can help to protect us from serious diseases such as strokes, heart attacks, depression, diabetes, and arthritis.

The race caters for professional, amateur and regular cyclists by comprising a 15 km fun ride, a 45 km novice ride and the 104 km event which is a qualifier for the Cape Argus Race. Entry fees are R250 for the 104 km main event, R180 for the 48 km novice race and R100 for the fun ride and the prize money is R300 000.

Get ready to have fun and keep fit.
