Zanis win Lim colours

A total of 84 gymnasts from Zanis Gymnastics competed at the Limpopo Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Friday, 2 and Saturday, 3 June at Castle de Wildt, near Modimolle.

POLOKWANE –  These level 1-3 gymnasts competed against 15 other clubs in Limpopo.

Each gymnast received a medal according to his or her total scores for all four apparatus, and the first 10 gymnasts in each age group were awarded Limpopo colours. An impressive total of 79 gymnasts from Zanis Gymnastics received their Limpopo colours.

Forty-five of the 52 girls received Limpopo colours, with 15 gold, 22 silver and 15 bronze medals.

Thirty-four of the 38 boys received Limpopo colours, with 16 gold, seven silver and 15 bronze.

Three awards were handed to the best boy’s gymnasts of the day, and all three were from Zanis:

• Level 1 – Oritonda Tshidavhu.

• Level 2 – Xander Deyzel.

• Level 3 – Julian Lombard.

Xander Deyzel, Oritonda Tshidavhu and Julian Lombard were chosen as the best boy gymnasts of the day.

• Boys first place winners in their respective age groups:

Oritonda Tshidavhu, Dylan Fletcher, Lardus Nel, Julian Lombard and Martin Weweje.

• Boys second place winners in their respective age groups:

Joshua Venter, Dihan van Niekerk and Berco van der Linde.

• Boys third place winners in their respectiveage groups:

Karabo Mambolo, Morne Klaver and Ruan van Deventer.

• Boys who were included in Team Limpopo:

Damian Sibley, Bentley Hixon, Rolando Caroto, Darius van Eeden, Joshua Robertson, Ricky Mukoza, James Groening, Jacques du Toit, Henk Meyer, Exandre Dique, Marco Ras, Ruan van Deventer and Gerard van Nikkelen Kuyper.

• Girls first place winners in their respective age groups:

Mia O’Reilly, Irma van Wyk, Lyla Aucamp, Nika Kruger, Kathu Shilubane and Shane Bronkhorst.

• Girls second place winners in their respective age groups:

Cherise van Heerden, Abigail Botha, Milan Ferreira, Megan van Eeden, Mia vd Merwe and Amazon Manning.

• Girls third place winners in their respective age groups:

Jenine Drotskie, Lianelle Thomson,Elizmarie Miller, Abigail van der Walt, Ansuretha Perold, Zoe Meyer and Kristi de Jager.

Girls who were included in Team Limpopo:

• Level 1 – Jodi Lee Hendricks, Thorisho Manzini, Nicile Karasellos, Lia Coetzee, Yone Jonker, Sharne Venter, Zanika Prinsloo, Lulu Shiluvane, Marne Coetzee, Mia Botha, Wirka Burger, Jamie-Jayne van Niekerk and Moratiwa Inama.

• Level 2 – Sumieke Daly, Anikah-Rene Collins, Carme Louw, Nia van Zyl, Lejane Bredenkamp, Kiara van Breda, Chantelle Broekman and Lee-Anche Snyman.

• Level 3 – Kristen Klinkert, Jana Jacobsz, Elne Haynes and Cianke Louw.
