Proud gymnasts excel in national competition

Five gymnasts of Marshall Gymnastics Academy (MGA) represented the club at the North Zone Festival for Artistic Gymnasts and beat their best at this competition.

MOKOPANE -These five gymnasts competed as part of the Limpopo team, having obtained their Limpopo colours in Modimolle recently.

The North Zone Festival was hosted at the Matsport Centre in Gauteng on 23 and 24 June where about 1 200 gymnasts competed over the two days.

Gymnasts from North West, Mpumalanga, Tshwane, Sedibeng and Limpopo took part in this last competition of their 2017 season.

MGA gymnasts obtained outstanding results during the festival. Dané Schamrel (level 1) received an average gold, a sixth overall placing in her category and a second place for her floor routine. Natanja Koch (level 1) received an average gold, a sixth place overall and a fourth place for both her floor and uneven bar routines.

Jayden Enslin (level 1) ended his competition season with an average silver and Darren Foss (level 1) as well.
