All the way from Mokopane, the Mmamangina Primary School u/13 girls soccer team are ready to show off their skills.
POLOKWANE – The visit was part of the National Scouting Programme taking place in provinces across South Africa to identify talented and dedicated u/13 to u/20 girl soccer players.
To ensure maximum participation, the Capricorn region was requested to mobilise and encourage surrounding schools to ensure the participation and dedication of the best players in Limpopo.
Twins Mologadi and Nkone Lebelo from Polokwane were excited to flaunt their soccer talent for the SAFA talent scouts on Saturday.
Girls who wanted to show off their skills had to bring along copies of their birth certificates, ID or passport in order to register.
The auditions were overseen by Banyana Banyana u/20 goalkeeper and coach, Cameron Cox, u/20 coach, Safa Assistant coach, Maud Khumalo, and Safa Limpopo Technical Officer, Sesky Modiba who helped the girls get ready.
These talented u/17 girls were excited to show off their skills for SAFA’s talent scouts. In front are Manoke Morulane and Kamogelo Nakana. At the back are Moloko Choshi, Reneilwe Kganyago and Christina Makwena.
An abundance of soccer talent was on display during the day as the girls tried their best to catch the eye of the scouts with their athleticism, teamwork and soccer skills.
“The best soccer girls who were scouted by Safa will be announced soon. It made us proud to see the girls play their hearts out in a sport they love,” Sesky said.
The girls are eager to register so they can showcase their soccer skills for the SAFA talent scouts at the Pietersburg Rugby Club on Saturday.
