Speculation surrounds new coach for City FC

On Wednesday, Bernard Molekwa was still the head coach amid speculation that Dan Malesela was in talks with City FC.

POLOKWANE – After Polokwane City’s poor performance following their 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City, there was speculation this week that a new coach may have been announced.

City’s performance has led to the team losing more points week in, week out. Last season, the City boys were doing well by ending in the top eight bracket.

City striker, Rodney Ramagalela, told Review they would use their game against Pirates on Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium to collect points and regain their status on the log.

“We started the season on a low note but are slowly picking up; it is just a matter of time before we start winning consistently.

“We let ourselves down by losing to Cape Town, however, we have another chance to pick ourselves up and I believe that a win against Pirates on Saturday will go a long way in boosting our morale so that we can start winning more games this season,” added Ramagalela.

Meanwhile, Baroka are in the top five in the league log for the better part of this season and are expected to beat Kaizer Chiefs in their league match at Prince Magogo Stadium.

Their coach, Kgoloko Thobejane, said he was confident his side would continue their impressive feats.
