SLC fittest ready for Iron Crown trail

Stanford Lake College learners will participate in the fourth annual Iron Crown trail in Haenertsburg on July 12.

POLOKWANE – Stanford Lake College learners will participate in the fourth annual Iron Crown trail in Haenertsburg on July 12.

The day’s event will feature a 21,1km run over rough single track mountain paths which go to the summit of the highest mountain in Limpopo, the Iron Crown.

There will also be a shorter 10km distance and a 5km fun run for families and dogs. The trail will start and finish at the central market square in Haenertsburg.

The race is a fundraiser and is organised by the Haenertsburg Rotary Club in conjunction with Ofcolaco Harriers. There will be refreshments on sale to ensure neither the runners nor the spectators felt the hunger pains and the beer tent will make sure thirst is not a problem. Winners in the different age and gender categories will receive prizes.
