PHS won on the green fairway
Learners from various high schools in the province gathered at the Polokwane Golf Club to compete in the High Schools Golf League last Friday.
POLOKWANE – Learners from various high schools in the province gathered at the Polokwane Golf Club to compete in the High Schools Golf League last Friday. Learners from Hoërskool Pietersburg (PHS) proved to be the best in the A league after leading the league from the start.
Hoërskool Ben Vorster beat the other schools in the B league and were the victors. Hoërskool Ben Vorster’s golfers had the same objective to win the league and they succeeded. Hoërskool Louis Trichardt claimed the top spot in the C league.
Anna-Marié Schoeman, PHS public relations officer, said the school is very happy with the way the golfers played.
“We are very proud of our learners and we wish them the best of luck in the Limpopo golf finals where they will play against Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer.
“Our learners are the best when it comes to golf and we are confident that they will be announced as the High Schools Golf League champions,” she added.
