When politicians relax, have fun

Ndabazabantu had a very nice weekend, which started at Dijong on Saturday, where the ANCYL hosted a party to celebrate their 69th anniversary.

Tjo! Ndaba was really disappointed, hey. Ndaba went to the party thinking the venue would be filled with young people, but to shim’s disappointment it was not so. There were only a few people there, who included the MEC for roads and transport, Lehlogonolo Masoga, who sat in his car with his friends most of the evening. This made Ndaba wonder whether the little support had to do with the league losing support in the province or if the party was poorly advertised.

But it was a different story at Waterland on Sunday, where the ANCYL continued with their celebrations.

It was a full house, with guests including the minister of sports, Fikile Mbalula. The minister refused Ndaba a photo, but shim forgave him as he humbly mingled with the crowd. Without bodyguards.

Another down to earth politician who attended the party was the league’s former deputy president, Ronald Lamola. He made Ndaba comfortable when we chatted. He was so nice Ndaba could not help but wonder if he wanted something from shim.

Bathong, did I mention that Mahoota was also there? Ndaba was almost treated for shock after shim saw Mahoota dressed in a vest and shorts, looking like he just woke up. Ndaba is still too shocked to comment.

Ndaba also saw Lennoy Mashaba, who boasted she was wearing a dress that was designed in Russia and was a gift, but did not want to reveal who it was from. Ndaba forgave her for this and thought she just felt like sharing random information. Ndaba heard the dress was designed by Lennoy’s friend, Adel Rakgwale.

Bafana from Ga-Rena, who is a campaigner for EFF was also at the party with his crew from Rainbow Park and a girl named Mpho. Ndaba wondered if they were there to also enjoy the party.
