Ultimate battle of the deejays

THE ultimate battle of the deejays will be hosted by Thikho Events Management at the 2010 centre in Thohoyandou on October 26.

Thikho Events Management managing director, Richard Ramudzuli said the event was aimed at offering aspiring deejays a platform to play for larger crowds and to showcase their skills, as well as to establish themselves.

“The event will serve as a talent search for aspiring deejays from the Vhembe district. The winner will earn a spot to play alongside South Africa’s best deejays on our upcoming Racial Reunion Music Festival in Boksburg,” he said.

“If you would like to participate drop your 20-minute demo mix at Khoroni Hotel to be evaluated, and you will also need to complete a form,” he said. The line-up at the upcoming event will include international deejay Upz aka Avi Elman, national performer Dr Malinga, South African top deejays Fistaz Mixwell, Da Capo, DJ Levi from Lesedi FM, Ramz, Portia Dangale and many more.

Tickets are available at Khoroni Hotel for R80, which will cover the pre-party on October 25 as well.
