Polokwane Municipality ushered in the Festive Season when the festive lights at Flora Park Dam were switched on on Friday evening.
Residents brought along camp chairs and picnic baskets and local vendors sold food suitable for everyone’s appetite. Kiddies’ festive toys and accessories that included glow-light spectacles, were also for sale to add to the colour of the occasion.
Executive Mayor, Thembi Nkadimeng delivered a short message and wished residents a Merry Chrismas and the best for 2018. She urged everyone to drive carefully and return home safely. She switched on the festive lights shortly after 20:00, followed by a spectacular display of fireworks.
