The grand finale of the hottest modelling competition of the year presented by Ace Models Limpopo and held at Ster Kinekor Mall of the North (MoN) did not disappoint with a glittering event culminating in the announcement of the male and female Limpopo Face of Fashion 2018 as well as the social media winner, being Liam Scott, Michelle Fox and Jané Bacher respectively.
The evening got off to a humourous start with celebrated comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout acting as MC. Live music throughout the evening was provided by Johannesburg-based band Go The Rodeo.
The ten male and ten female finalists took to the runway with style, modelling an array of clothing by Markhams, Sports Scene, Icon, Miladys and Foschinis.
Both Ace Models Limpopo owner Jacqueline Ferns and MoN general manager Sumari de Ridder were unequivocal in their opinion that the evening was an enormous success and even outdid their expectations. They expressed their thanks to all the sponsors being Ice Model Management, Polokwane Observer, Limpopo Toyota, Loolness, photographer Natalie Loots, Icon, Visionworks, Sorbet, Woolworths, Miladys, Foschini, Panarottis, Ocean Basket, Coricraft, Debbie Mouton Jewellers, Lu Bag, Markham, Custom Effects, Sugar and Spice Function and Décor Hire, hair stylist Gretchen de Beer, Jetline, Cell C and Park Inn by Radisson Polokwane. “We are especially grateful towards Panarottis for the wonderful eats provided on the night as well as Woolworths who did an amazing job with the models’ make-up.”
Scott and Fox walked away with a world-class modelling contract, plus over R100 000 in prizes. Both of them were over the moon at winning and intend to follow modelling as a career. All the finalists expressed their gratitude at having been given the opportunity to enter the modelling world and learn about it. “It was an honour to participate as one of the finalists.”
