POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Review has put together a list of shows you should stream on your favourite platform.

What to Watch this week on:

Showmax:

Series: Pulse

Pulse is about an international group of game creators who discover that survival is no longer just a game when an electromagnetic pulse bomb fries every electrical circuit in their office high-rise – and people’s heads.

Movie: The Protégé

Action thriller The Protégé stars Maggie Q (Fantasy Island), who was nominated for a 2022 Critics Choice Super Award for her starring role as Anna, a skilled contract killer who was rescued as a child by the legendary assassin Moody (Samuel L Jackson).

For the kids: SpongeBob SquarePants 

…Because 11 seasons of the world’s favourite sea sponge is just not enough! There’s a whole new season of fully-absorbent underwater absurdity to soak up with this five-time Emmy- and 17-time Kids’ Choice Award-winning show.

 

Netflix:

Series: Charmed 

After their mother’s tragic death, a trio of sisters bond over their newfound powers, vanquish demons and band together to defend their magical legacy.

Movie: Spiderhead

A prisoner in a state-of-the-art penitentiary begins to question the purpose of the emotion-controlling drugs he’s testing for a pharmaceutical genius.

For the kids: Dead End: Paranormal Park

Two teens and a talking pug team up to battle demons at a haunted theme park — and maybe even save the world from a supernatural apocalypse.
