Govan Mbeki Municipality urges residents to attend IDP meetings
Come and voice your concerns at meetings.

Govan Mbeki Municipality invited residents of Secunda, Bethal, Kinross and Leandra, to attend the upcoming Integrated Development Programme (IDP) meetings.
Donald Green, spokesperson of Govan Mbeki Municipality said the needs and priorities of the community can only be reflected in the budget when it is being identified as a priority in the budget, thus it is important for residents to attend these meetings.
“If the residents do not attend these meetings, those present will decide on their behalf,” said Green.
Residents can get an insight on council plans, budgeting, projects and service delivery issues if they attend these meetings.
They will also get the chance to express their views and engage with municipal leaders.
Bethal and eMzinoni residents will have an IDP meeting on April 29 at 17:00 at Lifalethu Primary School, the Vukuzenzele Creche and Milan Park and on May 6 at 18:00 at the Bethal town hall.
Kinross residents’ meeting will take place on May 6 at 18:00 at the Kinross Sasol Club while Leandra residents’ meeting will be held on May 6 as well at the Thusong Centre in Leandra.
Secunda’s IDP meeting will also be held on May 6 at 18:00 at the Lilian Ngoyi Centre.
