HIGHVELD – Four Gert Sibande College staff members who had administrated part-time claims were suspended for possible fraud.
Mr Macheal Radzilani, communication officer of the college, said the college recently had an audit and evidence of possible fraud relating to the part-time claims was found.
“Gert Sibande College embraces the values of honesty and integrity and consequently practices a zero tolerance towards any form of fraud or corruption.
“We can confirm four staff members were precautionary suspended while the investigation into the possible fraud is being finalised.
“Parallel to this process, a fraud-related criminal case was also opened with the police.
“Pending the outcome of the investigation, the college management will ensure that in the event of any staff members being found guilty of fraud, they will receive the full might of the law.”
