Community acts against xenophobia
Community prays for a stop to xenophobic attacks.
Following the nationwide xenophobic attacks, Sakhile residents held a Prayer Day at the Sakhile Stadium on 21 May.
The police and the Lekwa Pastors Fraternity organised the event and invited local churches and the community at large.
Religious leaders were also invited, as well a handful of foreign nationals.
According to Pastor Vusmuzi Mashinini, it was their first event and they want to have more occasions of this nature in future.
He said they want to promote unity in communities and have more foreign nationals present.
There have not been any cases of xenophobic attacks in Standerton.
