Mayor presents budget
The repayment plan agreement to Eskom was recently presented and approved, although the DA councillors voted against it.
The executive mayor of the Lekwa Municipality, Ms Caroline Morajane, delivered the budget speech in the Town Hall on 29 May.
The event was preceded by a special council meeting.

Mr Pierre Schnetler, caucus leader of the DA, voiced his concern about clause 6.1 where defaulting of payment to Eskom, will result in the full amount becoming due and payable and cutting off electricity is included.
