SOUND CLIP: Make sure before payment is made to website

According the the Managing Director of Toga Linings, Mr George Wynne, definitely no livestock is roaming on his premises.

The Standerton Advertiser received an e-mail regarding a website selling livestock online and it seemed legitimate, but the customer suspected something was not right when he was asked to make a paymet using e-wallet.

After investigation, the said address was said to be at the back of Toga Linings, a business that has been in Standerton for many years.

According the Managing Director of  Toga Linings, Mr George Wynne, they are not aware of such business and no livestock is roaming on his premises.

A phone call was made to the numbers on the website and a recording made of one of the calls.

The phone call was terminated after an address was asked. (See attached)

According to the man, there is no livestock at the premises since the animals are supposed to be in Produce Street in the industrial area in Standerton.

The website points out the company is a family business operating in town since 2011 and after further investigation, a similar website was found with the farm situated in Potchefstroom.
