Fashion Forward Fashion show will be lit
Models and fashion designers to showcase their talent at the Fashion Forwards Fashion Show will be hosted by VVS4 in September.
eMBALENHLE – VVS4 will be hosting the Fashion Forward Fashion Show on Saturday, 15 September at the Koko lounge.
Mr Vusi Nzimer, the founder, said the event is aimed at showcasing the talent of upcoming designers and models from all over the province.
He said they ensure each year that they bring new faces to the show, both designers and models.
“Some of the brands that have showcased in the past at the VVS4 included prominent brands, such Kubi, Africouture, vixct vox and Vusi Nzimer, that are all doing great in their respective fields.
“We had models such as Sindisiwe Simelane, Matsietsti Molefe, Siyabonga Sibanyoni and Evans Pholo, to name a few.
“This year we intend to raise the bar and I encourage fashion lovers to come in their numbers.”
Mr Nzimer is a local designer, stylist, model, modelling coach, pageant judge, event coordinator and an entrepreneur.
He said another reason why he initiated this fashion show was that he noted that designers and models were not given the platform that they deserve.
“People always expect designers and models to be successful, but they don’t help them to succeed.
“So I decided to create a platform for the youth to display their work to the public.
“I am very passionate about fashion and the fashion industry.
“ I feel fashion gives everyone a chance to explore new things and to be themselves at the same time.”
General tickets cost R80 and for VIPs R130.
