Three men suspected of stealing a motorcycle, ran away this morning at approximately 5.25am.
Security guards of Bidvest Protea Coin who work at Syferfontein Mine, Messrs O. Seero and C. Nkopane saw three men in the veld near the mine pushing a motorcycle.
The guards were on their way to work and the three men dropped the motorcycle and ran away when they saw the security vehicle.
According to Mr Dirkie Els, contract manager at Bidvest, the three men were carrying large bags on their backs and they were running in the direction of the Holfontein informal settlement.
Mr Els contacted Trichardt Police who arrived at the scene and confiscated the motorcycle.
