eMBALENHLE – Police are investigating an assault case after a man was severely assaulted by an alleged gang in Extension 19.
According to the family members they were woken up by voices outside and went out to investigate.
On arrival they noticed that it was their relative who was being assaulted by a group of men and they attempted to help him.
It is alleged that one of the gang members fired a shot.
The family fled to their neighbour and the suspects fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the local clinic.
