Secunda Police confirms body found in Hammerkop Dam is missing man

The police are still doing a post mortem investigation and do not know the cause of his death yet.

Secunda Police confirmed that the body that divers recovered from Hammerkop Dam in Secunda on Saturday afternoon, 28 March is Mr Willem Visser (68) that went missing on Thursday, 26 March.

His family reported that he was missing and on Saturday the police send out a photo and information that Mr Visser is missing.

The message read that Mr Visser was using a wheelchair and crutches at times, but his wheelchair and crutches were at home when he went missing.

He allegedly only had his cell phone with him and walked with great difficulty.

All the keys of his house and vehicle were also at home when he went missing.
