eMBALENHLE – A man narrowly escaped death after he was assaulted by three men who accused him of stealing a cell phone and cash in Extension 25.
Police said the victim was asleep when the three suspects stormed into his house and assaulted him.
It is alleged that they then took him to Mandela Section.
They allegedly tied his hands with a wire cable and assaulted him further.
He was then released and told to go get the cell phone and money otherwise they will kill him.
The victim went straight to the police station to open a case.
Police are investigating an assault and kidnapping case.
