Organisations receive donations from Evander Gold Mine

The mining company visited some organisations to find out what the company can contribute towards making the community work easier.

EVANDER- Three community organisations within the Govan Mbeki municipal area received R20 000 each from Evander Gold Mine on Thursday, June 24.

The mining company visited some organisations to find out what the company can contribute towards making the community work easier.

“When visiting these organisations, they told us about their day-to-day needs, such as the Kinross Golden Oldies, who look after the aged people.

“These senior citizens need food and other things to keep them busy to forget about their daily challenges at home. This donation is not enough, but it can add to what they already have,” said Ms Livhu Ramuedzisi, human resource manager at Evander Gold Mines.

Other organisations that receive donations are Mpumalanga Youth Forum from Evander and Khuthala Association for the Blind from eMbalenhle.

Ms Andile Mdalane (Mpumalanga Youth Forum) receives a donation from Ms Livhu Ramuedzisi (human resource manager at Evander Gold Mine).
